The Salmosa gaming mouse introduced by Razer is probably the quickest gaming-grade mouse in the entry level category. The high speed comes from the fact that the Razer Salmosa is equipped with the world’s fastest tracking optical sensor. No wonder it comes with the “Speed of Light” tagline! (Update: Now infrared)

Unlike other Razer gaming mice, the Salmosa doesn’t have great looks – in fact, the design is and functionalities are quite basic. It is one of the smallest gaming mice in the world and has a left-handed and right-handed orientation. The Salmosa is as simple as they come and has two basic buttons for click and menu and one roller. It also doesn’t have the back-lighting/scroll illumination that most Razer mice have.

The Razer Salmosa comes with the indomitable spirit of gaming enhanced by the 1800 dpi 3G infrared sensor, which will allow gamers to move the mice at least 2.5 times faster than the standard 800 dpi optical sensor mouse. Some of the top features of the Razer Salmosa include 1000Hz Ultrapolling / 1ms response time , 60-120 inches per second, On-The-Fly Sensitivity™ adjustment, 16-bit ultra-wide data path, and Mechanical dpi/polling rate switches.

The Razer Salmosa comes in a neat pack that includes the CD-Rom with drivers and the USB cord. The software is easy to install the mouse can be used for gaming as well as personal work.

The approximate size of the Razer Salmosa gaming mouse is 115mm (length) x 63mm (width) x 37mm (height).

A balanced performer but definitely not the best for LAN gaming.
